Jesse Myers is one of the few lawyers who can genuinely do it all. He's represented businesses of every size, across nearly every industry, and individuals from all walks of life — handling complex civil litigation for plaintiffs and defendants alike, as well as criminal and administrative matters. While Jesse’s home base is in Billings, Montana, he practices in state and federal courts throughout Montana.
The son of a firefighter and public-school teacher, Jesse was born in Miles City, Montana. His humble upbringing taught him early on success isn’t given – it’s earned. That lesson and his blue-collar work ethic guide how he prepares for every case. No matter the opponent and no matter the odds, he never backs down and is constantly pushing himself to fight harder and dig deeper. Clients notice. It’s a big part of why they trust him.
Jesse graduated from the University of Montana School of Law. He started out with a brief stint as a public defender, in court all day everyday — and completed his first jury trial just two weeks after being sworn in. From there, he moved into private practice, training alongside a renowned trial attorney representing a fortune 500 national transportation company in some of the biggest litigation exposures in Montana. That's where he really learned how to craft compelling stories for twelve strangers.
Over the last two decades, Jesse has successfully represented clients in virtually every type of civil case, including personal injury, wrongful death, insurance coverage and extra-contractual claims, product liability litigation, business and commercial disputes, professional malpractice and employment matters, title and property claims, estate and probate proceedings, as well as construction, energy, and agricultural related issues. Jesse’s unique ability to effectively represent clients on both sides of significant civil disputes provides his clients a decisive advantage – he knows how cases are built and how they can be taken apart.
Jesse does his best work when the pressure’s on and the stakes are high. He’s gone up against some of the largest, most prestigious law firms in the country as well as teams of seasoned government prosecutors — and won. And he still insists on working every case personally, from the first appearance through discovery, trial, and appeal if it comes to that. It is his consistent success across a broad range of cases – spanning both civil and criminal litigation in state and federal courts – that sets him apart from his peers.
Jesse’s commitment to serving those in need extends beyond his law practice. He is the past president of the board of directors for the Billings District Council of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and continues to advocate for its mission of providing assistance and hope to society’s neediest without discrimination. Jesse and his family are also long-time supporters of Eagle Mount, a non-profit dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and adults with disabilities through recreation and opportunities to embrace life without limits. He takes on pro bono cases whenever he can, and it's made a real difference for organizations and people who couldn't otherwise afford a lawyer. When Jesse isn’t working, you’ll find him with his amazing family.
